33 days to Hillsongs Conference 2007! =D It going to be an AWESOME experience- I just know it will be life-changing! From actually meeting e Hillsongs team & watching them LiVe [finally!=P] during e night rallies to e courses we're gonna attend. I can imagine the many thousands that'll gather & unite under e same roof for one sole purpose - to honour & glorify Him through our praise. Will be taking the BiBLiCaL StuDieS elective for e duration of e conference, i do wanna learn more cause i think it's important to get the basics right first. Realised that Tiff & Audrey are taking e same thing.. Yay! =)
It's gonna be exactly ONE MORE MONTH till i see Evie again!! Supperr excited, can't wait!!! Feels like she's been gone for 1 or 2 yrs when it's been barely 4 months! =( Just got off the phone with her.. I miss u Evie! Dunno if u'll be reading this but all e best for ur exams, mug hard & smart, will be praying for u! ;) Hehe.

As always, i look forward to driving lessons every friday. =)
Let's see, i found out a number of very interesting things that i wouldn't have noticed or thought much about if it weren't for my quite eccentric driving instructor today.
T: "Do you know that when u accelerate, e aircon blows out more & it becomes cooler? So the more u accelerate, e colder it becomes?"
Me: "Huh, really ar, sure anot? I never realised, thought it just got colder as time passed on"
To prove his point, he put e car in neutral gear while i accelerated and cool air actually DID gush out stronger. Wow, was my ultimate random fact of the day.
T: "Let, me tell you ah. when driving during ur practical test day, e Tester can either like u or don't like u. If he likes u, u can do anything n still he'll let u pass. If u sway ah and he doesn't like u, anything u do he can also find fault and he'll say Y.M.C.A"
Me: "Err.. Y.M.C.A??"
T: "You Must Come Again"
LOL. =D
T: "Be very careful when driving.. Alot of my students think that, 2 points only wad..Still quite safe. But hor, even if it's 2 points can accumulate to alot. So 2 points still very important. U see ah, e driving practical test fee is $154.80, and to pass you need max 20 points. I calculate for you already, 1 point is worth $7.74. So look at e rear view mirror when stopping, remember.. it's worth $16 if u get 2 points. Where got so easy to earn money rite, look at e mirror den can save $16!"
Me: Speechless.
T: Okay practise ur parallel parking again. Make sure it's sui sui, steady ah.
Me: [after doing a good parallel parking =P] So how, sui sui steady bo?
Shall tell you, I was left amused long after e driving lesson ended.. Haha.
Headed to per's place after with e intention of swimming wif tiff but since we didn't have enough time, both of us & yeronn spent e time just chilling, pigging out on ice-cream /chips/ yakult/ soursweet. Felt it was a much much more meaningful way of spending time. (the chilling out part ah, not e eating)
Glad to know u're doing fine! ;)
DOC was greatttt! So looking forward to e DOC gig coming 23rd June. =)
Cheescake cafe wif e easties-> yum yum. Was fed alot today.. I love hanging out wif u babes. Was a nice sharing session. Siglap shall be our next 'go-to' place!
I simply feel blessed today.. Thank you Lord! =D

Ever experienced one of those spooky, mystifying moments? Kinda like deja vu but even more bizarre?
Smth happened during work today, no it's not like a ghost story or anything in case u were wondering.. i don't do those. Haha.
Well I was in my shop this afternoon.. preparing to walk out(but not yet) when i glanced, out of e corner of my eye, this kinda familiar face walking into e shop. Turning my head to take a 2nd look and actually confirm if it was her, i realised i was mistaken..
Not having seen this particular friend for almost half a year, my thoughts drifted to her as i continued walking out of the shop. As i turned left in e direction i was headed for and looked ahead, lo and behold, i saw HER- the real her! Standing about 5 metres in front of me & chatting with her friend. Completely shell-shocked and stunned into silence, i unbelievingly stared on.
It was a freaky feeling; mistaking another for someone u noe, then thinking bout that someone and actually seeing tat very person-all in e space of about 20 secs? Like deja vu tenfold.
After being convinced i wasn't imagining things, i somehow found my voice and called out to her. Was nice catching up, now she knows where i work.. =)
It's funny how time seems to fly so fleetingly without us realising how much we've missed out on.

WitH Jasmine, e Beautiful Bride :)

In the short span of these five months, i've attended more weddings than i've ever attended in my life. And that's a mere 3 to be exact - one of which i admit was a wedding of someone i've never met. (i'm not a wedding crasher la, it was a distant cousin on my mum's side)
And well, in attendance of these kind of events, it makes u ponder and then ponder again some more. Not the whimsical "Omgosh, this is so beautiful & touching - i wanna get married too!", mind you. I guess Jasmine's wedding was really the one that affected me the greatest because God was in attendance & acknowledged repeatedly at her's. i just think that's important.
Marriage isn't just smth u go through just cause it's e norm to someday find a life partner and have kids. And you don't just marry someone cause ure afraid tat if u miss this opportunity it'll never come knocking on your door again, neither is it finding someone who loves you more than you love him/her do so you won't be the one to get hurt in the end.
Marriage is a gift from God, smth not to be taken lightly. And most may think love is enough to hold up a marriage- but here's what i learnt- the rock and foundation of a marriage must first be God before all others fall in place. Without proper foundations, it's bound to crumble bit by bit and who knows, eventually collapse. I'm not saying that it's merely that; of course all other elements like trust, openess, love, commitment etc come into play. Just that these elements can't stand alone and not for long anyways, without the things that are truly important.
And as conventional as it sounds, i think marriage should start with a mindset of permanence- unlike the place in society it has where 2 signatures can simply cut the bind.
Well, just a piece from my wandering & pondering mind. so if u were talking to me during one of those 3 days and i sort of seemed distracted, u'll know where it was. Haha.

Today i witnessed a series of events i never thought i'd ever see, they were unexpected to say the least.
I wonder what would have possessed a wheelchair-bound lady of 70+ to calmly try an item, look around then place in her bag n actually shoplift it.
A newly bought oven (pretty much the size of a microwave) falling from e 3rd or 4th floor of a shopping centre on a woman carrying her child and hitting her squarely on the head/neck, barely missing her child. And yes, thankfully she survived.
And within the same day, i heard things i wasn't supposed to hear in certain places.
Like 2 clicks from a phone camera in e cubicle of a toilet which i hope were shots being taken of e person in e cubicle and not e ones beside.
In another cubicle- a ringtone which played almost halfway- of a girl singing in chinese asking if anyone wanted to be her boyfriend and that she likes to be fed chocolates and ice-cream.
