I seriously admire those who take e effort to blog daily bout thier lives.. Haha. I'm just so soo lazy, dunno y i set up a blog in e 1st place. =P Procrastinating is just one of my bad habits, just can't help it lah.. Hehe.
For the first time in my life i visited an Old folks home last Saturday.. We were sorta 'forced' to go by our lecturer & were initially rather reluctant. I just think(thought) Old folks homes are depressing! =( I prefer helping out where children are involved cause working n interacting wif them just makes me happy.. =) Haha. Perhaps u can say i prefer working wif my 'past' than 'future' cause i understand them n communicate better wif them? But it wasn't really like what we thought it to be lah.. Not tat depressing.. Just not much of a response from most of e old folks.. except for this really cute ah ma! =P She was e cheekiest old woman i've ever met.. Really amused us all.. She would pretend to hold ur hand den poke ur waist to tickle u, tease u and count the number of pple around (can count up to 12 only! lol) n laugh cheekily. Seemed so happy n carefree.. Rare breed, but definitely brightened our visit there.. =) We played games, sang to them, helped them wif colouring n pasting stamps & fed those hu couldn't manage themselves.. I was put in charge of feeding an old woman hu went blind.. Dunno y but she wasn't able to open her eyes & didn't speak throughout. Just seemed so weak.. My heart went out to her but i couldn't do anything except feed her.. Hmm, although i don't think we really did anything much, it felt GOOD helping out, volunteering.. I seriously dont' mind going back a few times but wad i'll rather commit to is an orphanage or children shelter/home.. Anyone noe of someplace like tat/someone i can contact there? If u do just contact me or smth ya? Hehe.
My FYP is actively gonna start next month i think.. My team members & i will haf to make multiple trips to Tan Tock Seng hospital to work wif e ophthalmologists there cause they're in charge of e study.. Argh!! it's so darn far.. Transport money should be provided.. Poor us! Hmm, anyone wif dry eyes? Do u experience redness, itchiness, dryness or ure afraid of direct light? Contact me if u do, cause u get 2 mths supply of eye drops(which are also available on shelves in stores)!=P Haha. Fancy me recruiting pple here! Just wanna help u & us lah.. Lol. Okay i better get down to studying for my quiz tom & start researching on some stuff.. Nitez!! =D
